Never give up, never give in! Keep pushing forward! Photographer, musician and writing writing writing now! She/Her
Just got back from the Descendents show in Brisbane!!!!
If you saw the girl with a mask that was me!!
First time in a most pit, first time getting beat up and beating people up in one and first time getting thrown over the barrier at the band!!!!
I had so much fun and made plenty of friends!
My fellow lesbians
(I mean I'm not much of one myself but)
So my next date with this girl I'm seeing is next weekend, she's planning on taking me to a cafe she frequents (I also have to travel a fair bit to get to her area).
Does anyone have advice for like dating women? (specifically gay women) I mean like going out and all, but also like anything I should know about the dating culture with lesbians?
I met a girl over the weekend, it was at an emo music event and we hit it off from the start.
I don't think I'll forget that moment she asked if she could kiss me, after the first time it became the rest of our night; kissing and getting to know each other between kisses.
My lipstick made a mess of our faces and her friend gave us space to do our thing lol.
We're starting off pretty non-committal and I'm really trying to keep my composure, but I lose it quickly around her. I don't want to move...
Night time fun time
For the first time I ended up crying from sex, it was just so good and somehow even better than ever before and it brought my body to a point it couldn't even comprehend. I realised this might be taken the wrong way and had to urge him to keep going, I ended up crying twice lol.
It was so amazing I'm still riding the high a little bit later now.
I've gotta recommend this game I stumbled upon called Fatekeeper
The only way i can express this is the Worf getting taken out by a barrel scene from TNG.
such a fun game and it's only about $10 AUD (even cheaper in freedom dollars).
These gobs need a real OHS safety plan in their lairs.
It really is a return of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
I've been seeing a lot of places and events focus on having no phone, as in don't bring your phone with you.
I think there is a connection that all these events are happening in the city, in the areas with poor public transit. These areas are full of rich people, now I mean rich people compared to where we live, people paying at least $800-$900 a week.
This made me wonder if these richer people have more problems with phone usage? They are closer to the city (pretty much inside it) and they are...
Tried to watch a debate on AI
No one knew what they were talking about (apart from the only one with a job), now I'm more confused why anyone likes that destiny guy since he just stirs up trouble when he's meant to be moderating (must like drama I guess).
Anyway my time is better spent watching some Age of the Ring gameplay before I duck out for the market
Got my first electric guitar today!
Already ended up jamming on it for two hours without noticing lol
It'll take some getting use to, feels strange having a guitar with weight like that but I love it!
It's a Yamaha 122J pacifica, over time I'm gonna cover this girl up with stickers! I'd totally recommend this as a first electric guitar, cause it's my first and I'm in love with it.
Might go out and pick up my leckie guitar later today, looks like I'll be needing an umbrella though [◉_◉]
One of my first big experiences finding out I can't see 3D (I have no depth perception) was watching the Spy Kids 3D movie with my Grandad. I was wondering why the 3D wasn't working, having been told the images would "pop" out of the screen!
My grandad said "oh must be broken" and offered to switch glasses! These being the paper glasses with red and blue, unless the colours stopped working they'd be fine.
There are so many little things that you miss out on when you lack depth perception, like the...
"War isn't Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse... There are no innocent bystanders in Hell." - Mash character Hawkeye.
I honestly believe the reason I grew up and already knew that joining the military was evil was because of Mash. Killing another is a horrible act, it goes against human nature which is why training people for it involves propaganda to get interest, training, desensitisation and from the people I've spoken to who've served; the removal of one's own...
I'm a bit confused after hanging out and talking with other local photographers, I was wondering if anyone here has anything to share on this topic/question so here goes:
Why do people ask what type of photographer you are and only offer such a narrow field? Like the expected reply is architectural, nature, street etc. but only 1 of those, mentioning more than 1 is seen as weird.
Back in the day I remember things being a bit more loose and less about just one category.
Personally I just make art...
Every day I practice guitar and record my chord changes that I can do within a minute between different chords and every single day I have a new challenge (cramps, boob pain, wearing the slippyest pants for guitar practice etc.) and I've only been getting better. Making faster chord changes with higher accuracy.
It honestly has been surprising me a lot since I noticed this, I mean it makes sense once I think about it but I didn't plan to have these different issues each day but I've become...
Well I've either been blessed or cursed, dude talking esoteric at me about the daughter moon, cold body but flame for a heart and her father the sun?
Anyway dude will go triple plat, earn billions (As he said) and has already lived 5,000+ years.
Power to all the heavy drug users out there, I know it can be hard but recovery is always possible and I can only hope this guy gets the help he needs one day.
Also as he said; he only does weed, ecstasy, and ice. None of that really hard stuff.
Went to a local musician meet over the weekend and made a few new friends, a couple of us came out of it remarking just how much we need to practice so we can get started lol
Apparently I can write a lot of good lyrics back to back which is something at least, just gotta get my guitar skills high enough to actually perform in front of people
The good news is that I'm at least already a good enough photographer to help people out that way (also having a look into providing tech help with repairs)...
Gonna have to find a way to share my guitar progress here, like a platform that'd be easy to host audio files to share
So far been practicing an AJJ song I like and got the Seven Nation Army riff down.
Practicing a Bob Marley song, Kacey Musgraves, Blondie and a few others
It really is difficult to get back into it all from the start again but I'll catch up to where I was sooner or later.
Met a stranger at the lights today, called me beautiful today.
A nice guy that started working uber eats to get by, no longer with his family.
I've been having a nice experience just talking with people every time I go out, strangers are just friends you haven't met yet and they pass you by from time to time.
I hope everyone is having a good day today
The other day I decided to not listen to my own experience and inner voice which says "never trust cops, don't talk to them"
Anyway I trusted and talked to cops about getting sexually harassed by someone who turns out has been sexually harassing women at the same train station for days at that point.
Cops, of course being bastards, kept pushing me for info in the rudest ways possible, started phrasing everything I said as if they don't believe me and I'm lying or talking to them for fun....
The artistic curse where the words pour into your head, hands wet and you run to find a way to write it down before it goes.
It really does just happen every time you're in the middle of something!
Personally for me it happens with lyrics, I get some of my best flowing to me as I do the dishes or shower and then I try to run for the computer as I keep singing this song aloud or remembering the rhythm lol
I'd be interested to hear when it happens to other people too!
Many years ago we had a day experience checking out a local uni and I brought my photography kit with me. We ended up in a science room and the professor was showing us bridge simulations in extreme weather conditions; after this he talks about chemical reactions with dry ice and water. Then asks if we wanted to see a demo and he proceeded...
