Never give up, never give in! Keep pushing forward! Photographer, musician and writing writing writing now! She/Her
SO this semester I'll be doing one useful elective and one psych-cop elective.
I'll also be doing some music production course offered by a local studio that wants to train people locally for like a month and have decided to take singing lessons as well...
First the psych-cop stuff, I wanna say psychology has a troubled past to put it lightly... used to reinforce power of the state (bystander effect, stockholm syndrome and the stanford prison experiment To name a few, even though these are pretty...
One of the best things is to start getting busy. Now I say this as a resident unemployed almost-freeloader (I pay half the rent and that's it lol).
Honestly just going outside with my camera has been such a big deal, I've met so many people and gotten so much advice (like look out for gang turf and don't go there with a camera!). Making connections is very fun and finding out where all the relaxing spots with other alt people are is very nice.
Starting to become a stereotype with the whole...
Content warning, if you read a content warning it's still bad for you and if you continue it'll be more stressful as well. Content warnings are pretty much useless in that case.
I use a slur, it's mine though, you can't have it.
Okay so I'm gonna say it, some of the most transphobic people I've met are queer people and liberal allies (american term).
I guess this is a PSA to cis people and queer people lol
You see a trans person in a group with other people, use some common sense, don't out...
Capitalism is so innovative that the only thing it's known for is new ways to gamble and introducing kids to gambling
Poverty really does slow your life down, goals become much further away. Now I'm in a single income household (there are 2 of us, not even earning that much according to many people) and we are no longer poverty living, we can actually go out to events, we can invest in our interests and have life experiences.
Like before we lived off of less than 38k a year (combined total of unemployment government payments) and even then we were getting by better than some people who worked and didn't have a family...
Got a haircut (first one in years!) and it looks great!!!
Pretty similar to a wolfcut/grungy shag thing, I have straight hair that's a little fine, pretty much everywhere was saying it'd look bad and it didn't!
I got to keep the old ponytail they cut off lol, even took a picture with it like a man does with a fish.
My hair is now also as black as it can get, I've been looking forward to this!!!
Super hyped and really just feeling good
I'd fuck me.
Well things are going
The girl I was seeing said she has some stuff to sort out and we shouldn't see each other romantically, the whole thing was very adult and sensible and it's the first time I've had something end in such a way.
Still left me feeling weird, I sorta had a feeling it was coming but we didn't get the chance to talk earlier, it was either going to happen or not, so I didn't waste energy thinking about it.
But honestly I'm not sad or anything, I can see it was probably the...
They call it a "job hunt" I'm just glad I haven't starved from being on such a long hunt.
Got a new (my first!!!) amp!!!!
Of course after testing it out I took it to the local park to play guitar. Spent my time trying out some tunes I want to fix up and record sometime, and I mostly just watched the clouds while I played.
Made a new friend today, a nearby neighbour and saw a couple of neighbours at the park. I overheard someones conversation about enjoying the music which was nice.
The amp is a BP-mini, if anyone is curious.
It's my first amp so I can't compare it to...
I became one with the guitar today, like no joke started practicing with my eyes closed and only feel and visualise the guitar. The tunes were so good, smooth and clean no gaps in between.
It helped something click.
On one hand I sorta want to share my instagram here cause that's where I post most of the stuff I create atm but on the other hand I'm not sure about...
How do people feel about this?
Came back home last night after spending the weekend with this girl I've just started seeing, it feels just right, I told myself I'd never date another trans woman but this is worth it and started organically. (Remember to go outside and find people at places, if you search online you're bound to find the not fun variant that's in the community)
I cannot say enough about how good it finally felt to relate to another trans woman on that level, to be so comfortable in our bodies and publicly be that...
I am soooo sore all over from the mosh pit and crowd surfing lol
It was so worth it honestly, I got to see the Descendants and meet a lot of really cool people!
Now I have even more stories to share and connections made, an important part of life all of this is!
It's from just going out and making connections that I met a girl that I'm excited to see again as well!!
I've also gotten involved in more community events from talking with new people at random shows, it's honestly amazing how...
Just got back from the Descendents show in Brisbane!!!!
If you saw the girl with a mask that was me!!
First time in a most pit, first time getting beat up and beating people up in one and first time getting thrown over the barrier at the band!!!!
I had so much fun and made plenty of friends!
My fellow lesbians
(I mean I'm not much of one myself but)
So my next date with this girl I'm seeing is next weekend, she's planning on taking me to a cafe she frequents (I also have to travel a fair bit to get to her area).
Does anyone have advice for like dating women? (specifically gay women) I mean like going out and all, but also like anything I should know about the dating culture with lesbians?
I met a girl over the weekend, it was at an emo music event and we hit it off from the start.
I don't think I'll forget that moment she asked if she could kiss me, after the first time it became the rest of our night; kissing and getting to know each other between kisses.
My lipstick made a mess of our faces and her friend gave us space to do our thing lol.
We're starting off pretty non-committal and I'm really trying to keep my composure, but I lose it quickly around her. I don't want to move...
Night time fun time
For the first time I ended up crying from sex, it was just so good and somehow even better than ever before and it brought my body to a point it couldn't even comprehend. I realised this might be taken the wrong way and had to urge him to keep going, I ended up crying twice lol.
It was so amazing I'm still riding the high a little bit later now.
I've gotta recommend this game I stumbled upon called Fatekeeper
The only way i can express this is the Worf getting taken out by a barrel scene from TNG.
such a fun game and it's only about $10 AUD (even cheaper in freedom dollars).
These gobs need a real OHS safety plan in their lairs.
It really is a return of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
I've been seeing a lot of places and events focus on having no phone, as in don't bring your phone with you.
I think there is a connection that all these events are happening in the city, in the areas with poor public transit. These areas are full of rich people, now I mean rich people compared to where we live, people paying at least $800-$900 a week.
This made me wonder if these richer people have more problems with phone usage? They are closer to the city (pretty much inside it) and they are...
Tried to watch a debate on AI
No one knew what they were talking about (apart from the only one with a job), now I'm more confused why anyone likes that destiny guy since he just stirs up trouble when he's meant to be moderating (must like drama I guess).
Anyway my time is better spent watching some Age of the Ring gameplay before I duck out for the market
