Getting hit with the old "scientific book but filled with personal anecdotes" I'd just rather the science, don't tell me about your family or how on one cold windy night something happened but it's not really related to anything!!!

Worst offenders of this will hide some useful bits of information in each chapter but you gotta endure ramblings :(

Anyway I start my studies up again next week, got my cop psych class (how can your profession be used to maintain the status quo?) and then something that benefits society; working with families and groups, using systems theory (if you're a good Marxist you'll see how it overlaps).

Big downside is that Australian uni feels pretty isolating, clubs are poorly planned, dorms not really a thing and not a lot happens (maybe it's just a problem up here).
