Can't believe I have to learn HTML to be able to code in HTML. Wdym I can't know everything and be incredibly skilled from the start?

I really dislike how so much of my personal information is scattered around the internet if you know where to look. If you know one username, you can Google it, and it leads to lots of other accounts, all with information on my identity, interests, beliefs, hell, even where I live! It's so, so easy to find information, and that's just with a quick internet search. I worry about what someone could find if they were really dedicated. It's not like I have anything to hide, but I'm going to keep my online...

Started my character RP account, feel free to check it out. It's based on Julius Delgado, my Cyberpunk RED guy that I played for a oneshot but want to explore more. Despite the system being set in the time of the red, our DM set our game in 2077, so that's what I'm sticking with. (Plus, I think the idea of the video game stuff happening while my Samurai superfan character is just kidding around in Night City is kinda funny.)

Has anyone had any luck with repurposing laptop parts for a cyberdeck? I'd love a smaller cyberdeck, so my first idea was to use a Raspberry Pi. Turns out, a Pi with 4GB of ram is way more than what I'm willing to pay- I might as well use the money to buy an actual laptop.

My next idea was to sacrifice the small size and buy a broken laptop off eBay to use for parts. Ideally, I'd like to make the daughter board horizontal so I can fit it into one of those hard plastic waterproof cases without it...

Internet

I'm not sure if it's just a 'me' thing, but sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about how big the modern internet is. I mean, it's inconceivable! Just think about all the raw data that's shared every day, even on social media alone- posts, messages, quote tweets, replies, images, text. There's even more when you take into account the deep web- e-mails, locked forums, discord servers, databases, that sort of stuff. Not to mention AI slop, which probably contributes the most at this point.

I...

Hey everyone! Good to be here. I'm Danny/Seraph, and I found out about this place through a post on reddit. I'm still not sure what I want to do here, so as of now I'm just exploring. R Ideally, I'd like to reduce my use of mainstream social media a lot because I waste so much time on it- I hate that my attention is being stolen by big corpos. I have lots of FOMO though, so it's been difficult lol.

I'm a massive nerd (big surprise, I know), big into video gaming, TTRPGS (mostly DnD at the moment),...
