[ESC]New day
After my existential post yesterday (thank you to everybody who shared advice), I woke up with the same emptiness and nothing to do. I've decided to code a bit today, continue a project I've neglected.
For some reason there is a sentence that comes to mind, something like "enjoyment of an activity only comes after the initial novelty fades." Not the exact words, not sure where I've heard it or in what context, but I'll stick to it.
Regarding me having depression, yes, well, you all are probably right! But labeling a mental state is anything but helpful in my opinion. I don't identify as someone with depression, nor do I think telling myself that I suffer from X or Y is particularly helpful. I was medicated most of my early life, in and out of counseling and therapy, it didn't solve anything. I have been dealing with mental instability for a long, long time. With age I've come to look at it from a calmer perspective, therefore I am not in a crisis, I'm just bored, seeking human connection, and I suppose a bit burnt out.
Love you all ♥
