Anyone else into fountain pens and calligraphy?

I found the Pilot parallel pen and one of those hand made leather and cotton paper journals. I've been using it to journal random things for my little kids to read when they are older like a time capsule. And as a way to practice calligraphy. I just worry it's going to get accidentally wet or lost so I need to scan or take a picture of every page as a backup.
