TW: Findom
Findom related venting ahead, don't read if you have a complicated history with this subject.

I don't consider myself an inherently good and kind person. This fetish almost requires me not to be. If I had to describe my approach in a single sentence, I'd say "I make parting with your money as painless an act as I can manage, one that leaves you feeling warm inside or excited."

When a finsub starts showing signs of a serious addiction, it makes me uncomfortable, because there is a part of me inside that recognizes it's not okay to take advantage of someone like that. So I stop the interaction. The reason I'm venting here right now is because it wasn't clear that someone was struggling with this, and I continued. Over and over, they asserted that they were fine... until one day I'm messaged by his boyfriend. I knew he had one, but it didn't bother me because he told me his boyfriend knew the activities he was up to. And maybe the boyfriend did know, but didn't know how bad it got. In that message, they told me they want all communication to stop. So I respected that until the finsub reached out to say they're sorry about how things went down. I took that as an opportunity to send them on their way.

Guess who messaged me again almost a week later.
It's bad enough I have to fight my urges given how cute you are, I've already made my peace. Trying to rope me back in when it's hard enough to resist, I can only see you doing that selfishly, because it benefits you, because it feels good. Do I factor into that equation at all? It's not fair, that the circumstances in which we met were that of "wallet" and "findom", because I can't see you any different, and you want to try and ask that we stay in contact, but keep findom out because of your addiction? I'm not ashamed to say that I'm not strong enough for that. What shames me is I couldn't be strong enough to try and lead you out of what you're going through. So I turned you away while pretending to be strong for your benefit. You won't read this, but we're both selfish creatures. How can I tell you to talk to your boyfriend, ask him to support your road to recovery, and trust that he'll be there for you every step of the way? I don't know how to end this post, I'm just feeling a lot of things right now

I'm not asking for advice, I've already sent him away and don't plan on things continuing. I guess I just want confirmation that I did the right thing, and if I didn't do the right thing, chastisement.
