Just saw a tweet on an EmKay video, and it had me thinking
The tweet was about how someone in history really looked at the concept of Jesus in the bible and thought the antichrist was a legitimate thing to be considered. Jesus.exe.
We can laugh about the idea now, but back then, there wasn't really the same safety we're assured today. When someone stalks you, coerces you, manipulates you, kidnaps you to induct you into a cult, you have hope that some ruling authority will at least try and make an effort to get you out of there

We can laugh because we have so many different ways to keep ourselves safe now, but it wasn't really about the idea, it was about the kind of people who'd buy into that idea and become fanatical enough to enact violence
