I did not wake up gasping for air, clutching my chest, but that was quite possibly one of the most disturbing dreams I've had. It's disturbing because this is something someone could be doing to someone else, and even more disturbing that I was capable of imagining it

It was night.

For one reason or another, I was in some kind of vehicle, and I had something I knew was valuable in the back of it. The vehicle was parked directly outside a home, presumably a home I live in. I was having a nap, covered by a blanket, when I felt the car shake a little as the back hatch was opened.

I kept as still as still can be, hoping to fool whatever was the cause that I was sound asleep. It seemed to have worked, and after a little bit, I relaxed, even knowing the back of the car was exposed. That was my mistake, because I heard the voice of my mom right outside it. I took a very quick look outside at the back of the car, and there was a speaker sat a little ways away. I saw it play a voice clip of my mom. I knew then it was a person and not some abnormal entity, but this was maybe even more off-putting for me at the time.

I let it play a couple different clips, and once it looped back around to the first one, I mustered up my courage, first a weak attempt, and then a "Go away!" ... Whoever put it there responded much quicker than I would've liked. Did they know I wasn't asleep and were watching the whole time? Did they catch me when I took what I thought was the briefest of moments to check what was outside the first time? They shouted an obscenity or two at me, and after a moment or two, I saw them, outside one of the windows. It was the back window of the car so it was hard to see, but since I knew it was a person, I felt a little braver about things and opened up the door.

The dream continues and disturbs me for another reason after that, but this is what I wanted to share. I feel like this disturbs me because if they just wanted what was in the back of the car, they could've just taken it and left, but they didn't, they left a Bluetooth speaker and tried to lure me out to catch me off guard. When I woke up, I was facing the wall and didn't want to open my eyes or turn around
