[ESC]The dawn of nothing:
Everyday you wake up, open your phone or laptop or desktop computer and you might open X (formerly twitter) and you will see lists and lists of "new tech" stuff coming out, mostly related to AI (I mean 99%), tech such as the "Personal Intelligence" by Google which will obviously in true Google fashion will get access to all of your phone and automate tasks. There is a new "labs" called "Merge Labs" coming out which is being seed funded by OpenAI and I joke you not is, "a research lab with the long-term mission of bridging biological and artificial intelligence to maximize human ability, agency, and experience." however in true tech fashion yet again I can assure you this tech will not be reaching the people around the world. The tech will be unaffordable when and if it comes to fruition. I can list the name of tech products which did not reach people around the globe. A very easy example is Meta VR glasses and I am not gonna go on a rant to Metaverse and whatever shenanigan Meta was trying to pull that specific time. But yes, oh also how could I forget "Claude Co-work" which you can yet again delegate your tasks to. Who are actually using these stuff? everyone I know who are into deep tech tell me they ain't using Claude Co-work or Google's Personal Intelligence. What and who are these products for? Furthermore currently AI companies are starting to look very funny to me, companies like Anthropic & Google releases things like Claude Code and Antigravity and people go like, "Oh WoAw, the bar of entry into programming has gone down and is non existent." and then you probably think about trying Claude Code but it ain't easy and is hit with "gib moneh" instead. Alright acceptable, Claude Code is apparently great at what it does so I guess it should be "premium". And then you go and download Google's Antigravity which is a "vibe coding IDE" jeez where have I heard that before? Cursor launch...
The greyness of it all:
Anyways you use Antigravity and under 10-20 minutes you have used up the best coding model right now according to the internet which is Claude Opus 4.5 and I am not gonna even try to lambast Google's Gemini 3 pro variants from Fast to High they have a special place in digital hell which I will let you all know why in a later. And so yeah, you have ultimately achieved nothing going the vibe coding route UNLESS you are paying for Antigravity and Claude Code which will actually still go into different kinds of usage cooldown period and stuff effectively crippling you maybe when you needed it.
Just like humans are copying one another shamelessly and making worse and worse version of itself (I have seen 4-6 versions of the same "OSINT analysis map" type website since December 25th till now and each time it gets progressively worse. Churning out absolute hot garbage with default UI/UX and no thought process into anything), everything is being turned into absolute slop, there is very few originality remaining it seems like which gets swallowed and spat out into another spiritless and shameless copy slop. Companies too are churning out slop products one after another which will never see proper usage.
Instead of bolstering and improving current products they are too busy investing into making new and random products absolutely no one asked for because I am pretty sure no one here asked for Microsoft Co-Pilot into every thing yet they did put it into nearly if not all Microsoft product. Coming back to the existing product improvement thing, the companies are spreading themselves thin trying to keep up and create new "hype" in technology/software field while the consumers are not able to use their current products properly.
We are looking towards an ever expanding horizon, fleeting time compensated by absolute slop and garbage products ridden with unwanted AI systems, data centers being built not to compensate and improve existing proper tech/software but make way for more enterprise level AI slop software, un-optimized RAM and CPU chomping software with no end of such products in sight.
I am not against AI but I am against literal slop made by tech giants.
