Thoughts on the US midterms election as a native Texan.

Blexas simultaneously felt so far away and inevitable. Ken Paxton is the antichrist and was only skating by on the R next to his name. He won District Attorney because nobody gives a shit and he won senator the first time because nobody knew who he was. Now with a little more time under a bigger spotlight it's painfully obvious to even informed republicans that Ken is a reprehensible, corrupt, evil, piece of shit.

I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if Ken Paxton lost and the rest of the state still went red. but Blexas? Maybe there is hope for this country after all.
