in light of the US Supreme Court's recent decision to allow states to ban transgender athletes from public school sports, here's my favorite argument in favor of transgender athletes. I've never met anyone able to refute it, they always deflect to "OK but what about the perverts".

Biological men having an advantage in women's sports doesn't matter. Sports are not biologically fair to begin with. Being tall is a genetic advantage in basketball, should we ban all people above a certain height? There have been articles written about how Michael Phelps unique genetically-prescribed physique gives him an advantage in swimming. Should we ban Michael Phelps and people with similar features from swimming? Humans come in all different shapes, sizes, hormonal balanaces, bone densities, it's not as black and white as "hurr durr men superior." Sex as the line drawn between different competitors is a lot more arbitrary than one might think.
