A big part of buying vinyl and CDs has always been the interesting cover art (and inserts!). It draws in new people who maybe wouldn’t care otherwise. It was the most exciting aspect of the resurgence of vinyl for me personally. The same goes for discovering and owning movies in their various formats (and all their merchandise)

disappointed in whoever at Sony decided to remove physical discs for PlayStation. They clearly don’t understand their audience on a fundamental level and I hope they fail this “business venture”.

The last PlayStation game cover I found really striking was the vivid blue silent hill F cover with the flowers and Hinako. Doom the dark ages had some really cool ones as well.
