Burn Baby Burn

Just ordered a disc Reader/Writer for backing up DVDs and BluRay from around the house to my NAS.

Originally was planning to do this for my TV show collections discs I would occasionally binge in college using my PS4 slim but never got around to the disc reader til now. Before I was just backing up stuff from my cloud services, phones, and computers before flashing them with bazzite and steamOS.

The other use case I wanted to try was using the rabbit R1 I bought a while back for the specific purpose of using the intern feature to teach it to download YouTube to mp3 and save it to a file on the NAS. Because the main way for well over a decade that I would get music was find a music video or just a song on YouTube(and now also ytmusic) and save the ones I like to a playlist called download, and I would go and download it later manually. I did that for years until one day I didn't do it for a while and saw there was a bunch in there(maybe like 24) and then I kept procrastinating and now it's like 9-8 hundred probably pre curated songs in there that I know I like but are just thrown in a drawer in organized by vibe and when I don't know what to listen to I just play that whole thing while driving.

Organizing them into my playlists later will my a pain in the ass, but having them together on a private machine that I can stream over wifi without ads? That's the dream for all the media I wanna backup on there.
