Quest for a Career

Decided I'll probably try to leave my current job later this year. Tired of having to fly out and commission conveyor belt logic. The dread on a Sunday night of having to go to work on Monday is like 9 times worse when you gotta go to the airport for it. Plus, even tho I'm a mechatronics major, software is probably my weakest of the three main parts of mechatronics and I'm real tired of messing with scl and fbd coding in TIA portal man.

I did engineering cause I like to create stuff, but tbh I didn't...

Electric Unicycle Repair

So I was about to take my unicycle out to pick up a food order I made but didn't get a more than thirty feet before realizing something was wrong with it wobbling weird. Turns out it was flat so I tried adding air but it wasn't going up past 3.X PSI so I figured there had to be a hole there somewhere.

Luckily, (unlike my last unicycle that I ended up having to upgrade from since it was already discontinued when I got it and had custom tubeless tires), This one is still fairly recent and uses a tube so I...

Okay so I've been seeing like HELLA Mike Pondsmith interview clips in my YouTube feed n stuff. Hearing him talk about th world of the game and inspirations of stuff like tech and gangs is so awesome it makes me wanna play it more than anything I've heard anywhere else. Was originally gonna go back to continue my play of Control that I was still pretty early into but I might just have to put that on pause while I do a run of Cyberpunk first.

OKAY so,

Finally carve out the time to troubleshoot and figure out whatever crap was going on with steamvr and my ALVR install after swapping my travel PC to SteamOS. Currently in a hotel with plenty of wireless traffic so I have bitrate set low, and I could probably refine some other alvr settings but I got steamvr working, despite that funky update, on SteamOS 3.8.+ with Intel graphics on the desktop mode.

I'll probably see if I can do it from the big screen standard mode later after adding some...

ALRIGHT!

Finally installed Official SteamOS on my PC last night

Previously was just using Bazzite cause I have Intel graphics but with the 3.8 release and seeing test it on the msi claws and one person who put it on an i5 laptop, I felt now was the time. Been remote downloading games from work through the steam app on my phone and I'm gonna test some VR and flat screen games to I...

Sticker Bombed My Record Player

2moW:60

I just had the BRILLIANT idea, of someone cosplaying Sora from Kingdom Hearts and going to every Disneyland/world attraction to photo op with every character actor like it's collecting Pokemon and I SWEAR if I go to YouTube and don't see at least Six channels of people who did something similar, I'm gonna be real miffed and sadge about it.

2moW:92R:3

Okay so I was never really planning on getting a steam machine cause its pretty comparable to the PCs I've been using for the past 6 years have been fairly comparable (Hades Canyon NUC and Serpent Canyon NUC).

I HAVE been eyeing SteamOS as a main operating system though and with the 3.8 release I may be ready to swap from the bazzite I set up to see how I fair with VR gaming on linux. Gonna look further into it in a sec now that I'm off work, wish me luck!

Computer Peripherals Aesthetic Upgrade.

Even though I travel a lot for work, decided I could at least upgrade the aesthetics of my computer peripherals. They now all have a nice retro-futuristic vibe with the creamy light beige shell colors with some light grey secondary on the mouse buttons and wheel.

The big button/volume knob & loop tag on the speaker, as well as the small horizontal button on the mouse have a...

I ordered a SIIICK Green Goblin mask and it came while I'm home from work so I got to unbox it FRESH

Finally on a plane to go home from work. Been out for 5 weeks but only get a three day turnaround.

Did it to myself though, usually it's 2½ weeks but I wanted to make sure I was back this weekend to see The Amazing Digital Circus Last Act in theaters with my friends cause I bought our tickets as soon as it was announced. Backrooms last week and now TADC this week, what a great time and way for theaters to be making a comeback

3moW:187R:1

Okay, so there was a song at the end of The Backrooms movie when the credits started rolling that I Just Couldn't sound search cause Google didn't wanna I guess.

Was listening to music at work and just a few minutes ago it started playing in my randomized play next after I started by clicking Miike Snow's Cult Logic.

Turns out the song I was looking for was Boards of Canada's The Word Becomes Flesh

Not only is it a nice chill yet strange song, I feel like the name of the song along...

Backrooms Preview IMPRESSIONS ONLY

So backrooms comes out tomorrow, but as many of you probably know already advertisements always say the date of the Friday before the weekend but most places will also have it the Thursday before... SO OF COURSE I had to go see it as soon as possible! Anytime there's a movie I know I'm going to like I catch the Thursday preview.

The movie held itself FANTASTICALLY. You don't need to know every bit of lore of the Pixels-Series and especially not lore from the wiki all the bandwagon games that popped...

-My NPC-

Archetype: Tinker

Occupation: Warehouse Automation

Recent event: Recently replaced/upgraded to newer electric unicycle

Aspiration: would rather work of themepark/film animatronics

Best used as jaded worker who doesn't care about situational bs getting in the way of doing his job as long as he's still getting paid, or comedic relief character that the audience doesn't find funny.

Okay, so I went to Atlas 9 and it was AWESOME it was similar to MeowWolf locations in having the rfid activated/tracked missions and stories to follow as well as prerecorded video logs and cutscenes, with plenty of sick art and interactive elements like actor workers, music makers, and mini games.

UNLIKE any of the MeowWolf locations I've been to tho, they had scheduled live performances as well, with trapeze dancers, a saxophonist, and dancers with lights and visuals. It was AMAZING.

The...

OH MY JOSH YES!!!!!

I'm a big fan of MeowWolf and their installations, I've been to ***Ωmega Mart, Convergence Station, & Radio Tave*** and loved doing the plot and story missions. I'm currently working in Kansas and my coworker brought up a place while looking for restaurants that reminded me of them. At first I thought it was just a cool art exhibit showcase from the pictures, but when I looked into it it said it has a Story and puzzles and hidden stuff as well as an...

First post on a platform I'm actually excited for. I don't usually make posts and interact on most other media sites. Typically I just look at memes and follow artists for their pretty pictures, but with this one? I think I might switch that up, here's to change.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
