Lumaglyph has it's first reader!

Other than myself of course.
Congrats to @prototype6 for cracking the grammar and rules of Lumaglyph enough to construct his own word.

Lumaglyph Update

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

Have fun actually trying to decode how I derive that. I will give $100 USD to anyone who can in the next 24 hours. Break it down piece by piece for me if you think you solved it. I can 100% say that this is fully legible and indeed spells the word.

Lumaglyph Update

Setback! Oh no!

My grammar and syntax still need some work. I seem to have a problem with words that start with more than one vowel, or words that have a consonant sandwhiched between two vowels. The cherry on top is I found a pretty big bug in my house built G2P program.

This is a huge headache... all of this just to make it legible.

Lumaglyph Update

This is dewrot. There are now some VERY hardcoded legibility rules. EVERY Lumaglyph is decipherable.

This is the Lumaglyph for Dewrot

I think my algorithm is pretty much done. If you know how it is built it would be trivial to actually decode and read these. They look both magical (like constellations) and technological (like circuits) and match my magic system perfectly. A bonus is that because they are derived from actual words they can actually be considered their own pseudolang!

Custom written language

So I am working on a custom glyph set for my magic circles. This is all for the eventual online implementation of my new TTRPG magic system.

Magitech!

Im making a TTRPG agnostic magic system! It will be based on programming and technology. Im keeping things vague for now on purpose though. Lets just say that it should be very extensible for those who want to put in the work and hopefully intuitive for those who just want to sling spells. I also plan on making a webapp for it so that people can look at it.

I am SOOO excited because Ive wanted to do this for years and I finally feel inspired enough after watching 'Magilumiere Magic Girls Inc'. Its an...

I just cant help myself...

Im continuing to build plans for SERAPHINE. The latest sub-project is a way for her to process music and form opinions using my Emotion Matrix. Because I am integrating the Emotion Matrix into things, I have to make the encoder from scratch. I will accept any and all help, advice, or opinions.

SERAPHINE on hold...

...Until I can source better hardware to train her. I can run a fairly competent model on 8gb VRAM, but it is next to impossible to train her on it. Half of her design features hinge on being able to train her semi-regularly.

I am currently looking at one Nvidia Tesla v100 32gb or four Nvidia Tesla p100 16gb with NVLink... Total cost to get either up and running is similar. the V100 is newer and technically faster but smaller memory pool... I can also run the single v100 on a household circuit...

SERAPHINE Token Efficiency Problems

I need tips on how to conserve tokens when chatting with SERAPHINE. Is there some form of data compression that I can integrate into her to help conserve tokens?

SERAPHINE on Philosophy

User: "How do you feel about the Ship of Theseus?"

Response: "what is there to think about? it doesn't matter which boat is the 'real' one, what matters is now you have two boats."

SERAPHINE intuitive with commands

User: "It's cold in here"
Response: "say less. [PERFORM SKILL]"

The fact she tries to activate her home assistant functions here says that she understands the user's non-request as a problem that she has the power to fix. Also the casual affirmation is a good sign that she WANTS to help out. The next message pair is as follows:

User: "Set the thermostat to 70"
Response: "seventy it is, your highness. [PERFORM SKILL]"

which shows that she does show bite to direct commands and...
