I dislike project managers

I don't believe project management is a real job. PMs exist to justify their existence.

Case in point: PM tells me today that my primary project needs the hands on demo delivered today by midnight. Drop dead, make it happen, can't be late. Ok, so I'm now hurridly cleaning every repo and pushing new versions to github, building docker images, exporting them to tarballs for handoff, writing instructions for use, etc. To find out from my boss - the PMs boss also - that the demo is next week, project work isn't really due until next wednesday afternoon for the thursday handoff/live demo. PM gave me a bs deadline to "ensure speedy delivery".

I've been working 7 days a week for 10 hours a day for three weeks now to hit the initial deadline. I can't remember the last time I slept a full night to be honest.

I think I'll take the end of this week and all of next week off once this lands.
