V65 News - Cyberspace Today

Cyberdecks, Cyberdecks Everywhere!!!

If you’re an avid techie then you probably know all the rage that comes with having a cyberdeck but if you’re like me and need a little more explaining then don’t worry that’s what I’m here for!

The word Cyberdeck was originally coined by author William Gibson in his 1984 novel "Neuromancer." And were described as portable computers carried around by "Deckers" to plug into Cyberspace, which was their version of the Internet.

but with recent developments in technology this idea has leaped from Gibson’s Neuromancer into our very own reality. Now people world wide are making them, but the question is, why? Did lots of people really enjoy his book that much or is there a deeper meaning?

Well let’s see if we can find one! earlier in the article i mentioned that recent developments have made technology like this more possible but progress often comes with setbacks in both meatspace and cyberspace and what’s a common set back for both ganics and netcitizens alike? Well that’s Extreme and invasive corporate over sight.

People don’t want to be watched without their knowledge or have to trade their privacy for basic features on a device they bought with their own money. a lot of people, myself included agree with this sentiment. It’s a truly unsettling thing to think about and Halloween was yesterday! Now don’t worry as long as you practice safe web etiquette, and read before you agree to anything then you should fine!

Stay Safe and Thank you for tuning in!

(Personally I dont own one so if you need any help then don’t be afraid to ask a qualified person and don’t be afraid to share your experiences down below! ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) )
