surely i'm not alone in this, but i think back to every time i've "fucked my life up", and it's endlessly funny that i always said "oh god why am i about to fuck my life up?"

self awareness, meta-cognition, and pattern recognition; incredibly powerful tools, made useless in the hands of the impulsive. currently, i'm not fucking my life up in any way i'm aware of, but my impulsivity could still use some work.
