Gen-Whatever targeted tv-show and movie production sucks

Within the last two days I started three different TV-Shows and Movies on Prime and Netflix... I I seriously cannot watch any of them. Why? Because I simply can't decrease my level of competency, intelligence and knowledge to a degree that is obviously targeted by their producers and story writers.

Every minute or so, the current situation is explained, people have inner conversations repeating what happened lately and there's always some Cpt. Obvious who pretends that something is so special-interest that it must be told in at least two different ways for people to understand anyway.

And yesterday, my wife told me about a Wonka Show. I thought it might be a series targetting kids or something. She watched the 1st ep together with our ten y/o and asked me to also watch it, because I might want to enjoy it with them together.

So I looked for it on Netflix and was kinda suprised - in a negative way - that it is actually some really cringe kind of a scripted pseudo reality show obviously targetting the really most dumb people available and willing to watch that crap. Curiously enough, both my wife as well as my daughter are very intelligend and educated people.

And maybe it's just me who doesn't get it.

However, I never watched anything more stupid than this (I guess this is because I never got to watch Sharknado...).

Well. I hope that Disney doesn't fuck up Doomsday with this Gen-Z/-Alpha degenerated/-ing shit, because I am really looking forward to this movie, lol.

Until then, I will stick to crime radio plays from the 50s and 60s. Authentic and awesome voice actors, analog production, surprising whodunit-storytelling... and freely available.
