[ESC]The Frog isn't being slow-boiled anymore, it's downright dead and cooked.
It is honestly nauseating reading about literally anything going on in the world these days from politics, corporations, economy, etc.
I'm only really thinking about it because with the 25 years since 9/11 coming up tomorrow, I've been getting flashed with what we had instead of where we are. Everyone is talking about the human cost (rightfully so) but I feel like no one is actually discussing the rest of the aftermath. Like how the world has now plunged into a surveillance state, or that our freedoms have been rapidly eroded in the last 25 years, or the ever onward grind of the propaganda machine.
Meanwhile, the average person is too busy to care. They're forced to work multiple jobs just to feed their family. They are forced to work long hours just to pay the interest on 30 year loan for a house they may never pay off. And these people are forever stuck in this cycle to make it harder and harder for them to pull away from or fight back against a machine that wants nothing to do with them.
