No better feeling than leaving the office on a thursday, feeling perfectly healthy and knowing I'm going to take a sick day tommorow. The American mind cannot comprehend this.

Going for a late chinese dinner tonight, the weather is still decent, thinking to take a roadtrip to the family out in the country tommorow.

You ever get these intense bouts of loneliness where you feel like you don't have any real friends that like you? Then snap out of it? Dunno if it's a Vitamin D deficiency or what. Any tips would be welcome.

In a similar regard, none of my friends will be able to join me for a beach trip this summer. I was thinking to find a town in the French Riviera and stay alone for a couple days, disconnected & living fully analog. What complicates thing is I like to check out historical sites AND I don't want...

A photo from Baalbek, Lebanon taken in May 2025. Baalbek's history goes back at least 11,000 years. It was conquered by Alexander The Great and renamed Heliopolis and went through Roman rule, Christianization and the Arab conquest, Mongol sacking and Ottoman rule.

Nowadays, Baalbek has a huge Shia population, and it was quite unnerving to visit there as...

While organising a film club at my workplace, I thought this...

As I prepare to sleep, I thought I would share a song I’ve been listening to for around a year now. A nice folk song, which I think is relevant to what is happening over here :)

Question for the cyberdeck builders and users. Do you build them for a specific function, or just for the aesthetic? (which is totally chill).Just really curious what they are used for as I'm not a super techy person.

Was unironically lost in the desert a couple of months ago in my offroader, there were wildlife protective fences which then blocked me from getting back on the road and it was getting dark. I found this pack of camels and followed them to safely since they usually return to their master by nightfall.

Hi! I called myself Sartre here

Mid 20s dude from a GCC country, lived in the UK for 4 years, now back home. I love history, travel, and watching films especially. Love nature, and want to get into birdwatching but that's pretty hard here.

Other interests of mine include reading (20th century American Lit, philosophy, history) photography (film now), TTRPGs (Forever-DM).
