[ESC]Been a bit concerned about what I say on this topic but I feel like this is a silo-ed enough place to chat about it.
My country is dying. Over the past 40+ years, a semi-organized group of powerful, amoral people have literally and figurative raped their way through the American economy and people. Forces both foreign and domestic have conspired to defraud and lie to the American people. These rich and powerful people have built walls of digital surveillance all around us. Our phones snitch on everything we do. Companies like Palantir build literal profiles on citizens, and let's not even begin to talk about their utter socio-path of a CEO.
I don't consider myself part of any established political part or movement at this point. Division is no longer something I want to focus on; Our own President Lincoln, said thusly: a house divided cannot stand. Immigrants are not your enemy. Those with different skin colors are not your enemy. The rich and powerful, those who quietly rob, manipulate and control you, are the enemy. We all bleed the same.
Americans are no longer free. The circumstances we find ourselves under were the breeding ground for own revolution in 1776. Rich, disconnected, unaccountable bastards dictating the future of entire countries purely because it benefits them and their obscenely wealthy friends, and damn what the common folk think about it.
The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776. It's 250th anniversary is coming up this year. I think maybe it's time we remind the rich and powerful what happens when you take advantage of Americans.
