I've started trying to make it a habit to ask what I might need to do during the day so I can make a list
What I noticed today though is it's something my mind drifted towards naturally as opposed to being nudged

I looked at the time, noticed it was about time for me to eat, and went "wouldn't it be nice for me to not waste energy on anxiety over not getting things done?"

I'll have an opportunity later tonight to get the things I need to get done (dishwasher, both cans to the street). It just makes more sense to wait until then because then the day is over, no more trash is added and I don't have to feel like I didn't get the most out of my effort
