[ESC]I really need material I can study so I know how normal conversations and activities between people happen and work
I was watching an anime named "Tonari no Yokai-san", it's an incredible anime exploring identity and time.
Two characters were talking, and a touchy subject was brought up, followed with "Am I overstepping?" Three simple words show that subject was brought up out of concern for the other, not to antagonize or incite any sort of feeling, and I thought to myself "Wow, if only more people thought this way"
And then I thought about it. People do probably feel this way, but communication requires one to be brave sometimes. I'm on the spectrum and high functioning, but that doesn't mean I understand social situations like normal people do, so things I've never seen before or have much experience with, I won't navigate well. When I realized this might be a normal thing people do to avoid overstepping, I felt a little silly
But seeing these things is important, and I cherish each tiny piece of the puzzle I learn
