I recently started another playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 and while it'll eternally be one of my top games of all time, I found it hit a different chord with me now.

When I first played it, I felt very gloomy and unhopeful about the future. I was able to resonate with the themes of determined future, hopeless circumstances and fighting against forces bigger than me. I still feel those things, though more often in passing. The world of Cyberpunk genuinely scares me now that I'm at a more stable and bright time in my life. I'm finding it hard to fully connect again and in a way, I oddly miss those negative feelings.
