People seem to forget that Epirus is not just a region in Greece, though once originating from ancient Greece, taking the name Epirus meaning Mainland. Epirus also homes Albania. Same as Macedonia. Macedonia to most is a country, It is not. Macedonia is a Region with a similar story to Epirus, North Macedonia is a Country that's homed by the region.
