Daily note.

I got a laptop for free a few days ago and installed EndeavourOS. I am still debating between it and LainOS, but what draws me to EndeavourOS is the space theme and how easy it is to use as a daily OS.

I had someone I was considering playing League of Legends with, but due to a recent change Riot made to their kernel-level anti-cheat, I won’t be doing that. It would be quite inconvenient for me to play League with them because it would mean I’d have to completely reset Windows, which wouldn’t be the worst, but I have a lot of things I would need to reinstall.

In addition, I don’t support kernel-level anti-cheats. I get preventing cheaters from being able to play in multiplayer games, but I don’t trust corporations to keep the anti-cheat software secure. Any vulnerability that can be exploited means someone has kernel-level control over my Windows install, and I can’t play it in a VM either.
