Movie Recommendation: Obsession (2026)

I heard a lot of buzz around this movie, with several people recommending I watch it, so I did, and I really liked it so am also recommending it!

I thought the acting was excellent in this movie and especially liked the performance by Inde Navarette. The various ways she portrayed a variety of scenes involving emotions seemed like a difficut task, yet I thought she did an excellent job. The male actor as well as the two supporting actors also kept me engaged.

This movie I think also has a touch of dark comedy in it, and for that there is one seen that I need to ascribe that label to in order to see it fitting properly in the movie. I won't spoil it, but there is a certain graphic car scene where things were a little... uh.... stiff (yes that sounds risque, intentionally, but it's not what you think :) ) and so when that happened it sort of "pulled me out" of it being a convincing scene (if they were going for realism). If that was intentionally supposed to be humorous, then it worked! If it was supposed to be serious then... very much not convincing and I giggled. The sound effects along with it seemed over the top too (clang! clang! clang!) so it had to be intended as humor.

If you know what I'm talking about let me know if you think it was supposed to be funny in a dark way.

Anyways, at the very least, definitely worth a watch in my opinion!
