[ESC]lifetime the fluid (short story)
sunday night
last night i learnt that you can leave your body. you can live a lifetime in someone else's although, you aren't likely to remember your temporary lifetime (before your previous current life). you may only be away for a moment or a night or a month before returning but you lived and left a distant body. time is not a line it is a current with polarity, an area of greater density traveling and expanding to another less dense. it is like water. awesome with power and a determined fate at times; fluid, serene, and navigable at others. i was asleep, resting, waking. i was a man twice my age, greyed, wearing glasses, and smiling. i saw his forehead as i left. it was just a visit. i may need to return one day, maybe a thousand years from here.
