dear,
veils membranes barriers. a sheet of paper. a linen curtain wet with fluid flecks of red and shimmering iridescent. she teaches she listens. she smells like iron and copper. your blood is hers. she is mother.
fear keeps us. we are slaves until we rest under the waterfall spray in the vale. until we see the fish and the bugs in the icy water. until we see the mottled sunshine. blotted with leaves stinking of spores and microbes and petrichor. bracken. ground pine. ancient beings speak, do you chose to listen? do you breathe?
muscles and cells flex and twist on a scale you have not seen through fluid eyes. shimmering, swimming, smaller things, long and beaded, floating in substrate. do you see? do you feel the warmth? the biophotons? the barely visible electromagnetism, but still visible electromagnetism? my friend the dogs know. my friend myself asks over and over.
love,
leaves, hyphae.
