Does anyone else love aimless drives at night?

I live in a big city and I love driving around at night. I think I have two goals when I do this. The first, is to find interesting views of my city. Especially things that trigger The Night Feeling. The second, which might contradict the first, is to find people enjoying life. Loud bars, restaurants spilling out into the street. I don't join them, I just notice the groups as I drive by with my windows down. It makes the city feel alive. It makes me feel like I could be a part of something fun if I wanted to stop and say hello.

It's hard to describe. I'm like an extroverted introvert. I want to do my own thing, but I want to do it near people. And I want to hear the life of the city. And see the beauty of the night. I sit in moments somewhere between peace and possibility.
