Today’s a day I feel really content in my city.

I started off the night by doing a trip to the used book store a few blocks away. I found a copy of aliens:tribes, which I recommend to anyone who’s interested in sci-fi military/90’s traditional pop-culture art (or of course, the aliens themselves). The art is incredible. Sadly since dark horse was purchased by marvel (and later by extension Disney) a lot of the atmosphere (which is critical to the monsters themselves) was lost in favour of spectacle and the style of marvel’s superheroes. This goes for predator too. The book is very good. Check it out if you can!

Afterwards I went to the local fringe (theatre and performers) festival and watched a guy juggling flaming swords while I scouted the food trucks. People were more courteous and kind than usual and the streets felt very happy. I had a soft pretzel, watched some honeybees on the purple ornamental onions, relaxed as the street car passed by- then hit the gym where I sit now, going through work/art related e-mails and typing this up.

I’m hoping to find a smaller ice cream and maybe another book store as the sun goes down. (ᵕ・ᴗ・)
