I beat dragons dogma II last month (not 100% complete yet!) and wanted to talk about it a little + some art related stuff

I honestly didn’t know anything about the game at all, but at a book-off near my home in Hibarigaoka I had found Jun Suemi’s artbook “198511-199806 Gen art” and I was instantly in love. He’s grown as one of my most favourite artists ever. His compositions, colours and brush strokes capture an era of pop culture that I hope to capture myself one day. Through this book (and learning about what projects Jun Suemi was doing his works for) I discovered dragons dogma, so I decided to try the new-ish game before the expansion comes out.

I thought the game was really fun and I particularly enjoyed how harrowing it felt to fight some of the bigger creatures like the cyclops… and even the goblins had a lot of character which is always nice. The simple environments, travelling on foot, discovering treasure in dungeons, and hiring other player’s characters really made me miss what a lot of fantasy games have been missing lately.

Anyways, check out Jun Suemi guys… His art is phenomenal
