A note on bots, in response to something I didn't quite catch up on yet, just to be clear:
Cyberspace Netiquette
- No hacking*, spamming, bots, or AI agents.
Each user agrees to these terms when signing up, and it's a condition of keeping an account.
The Cyberspace API docs state the terms of service loudly at the top.
By using this API you agree that you will not:
- Scrape the API — bulk-collect posts, replies, profiles, or any other content for redistribution, archival, or analysis outside the intended use of a personal client.
- Run bots — automated accounts that post, reply, follow, react, or otherwise act without a human driving each action in real time.
- Use the API to feed AI systems — no training, fine-tuning, embedding, or evaluation of language models on Cyberspace content; no LLM-driven agents that read or write through the API on your behalf.
Cyberspace is a small, human social network. Accounts that violate these terms will be banned and their content removed. If you're building a personal client (TUI, mobile, desktop) that a real user drives, you're fine — that's exactly what the API is for.
Selah (and kisses to all!)
