Creating Destruction

Since the dawn of what we know about humanity, and the vast majority of written and recorded history, humans have longed to create. Starting with shelter and clothing, on and on and now we're implanting nano-computers in our own brains to controls peripherals that aim to make life less difficult and attempting to make a synthetic intelligence that 'outperforms' us to the Nth degree.

Before our very eyes we are watching our peers create advancements that I believe we will watch become our downfall. A change in industry and life now, same as virtually every few decades for the past few centuries. But at some point (soon or someday) I fear that our efforts to create systems that make our lives easier will be the very accomplishment that removes the humanity from our existence.

Hopefully I am wrong, people like the Khan and those of us that have joined communities like this are what will bring 'real life' back to the synthetic experiences we are all too used to.

May we, dear fellow traversers of this confusing existence aim to continue to create, to learn, to build, but most importantly...

to just be human.
