The time I actually spend "hacking"

Is it just me or do others also spend 4 hours on their PC customizing arch Linux and installing libs and debugging random shit and then 1 hour setup and then only 30 minutes actually pentesting and auditing their target? Like I spent 3 hours configing my terminal today and 30 minutes to find a CWE-98.
