[ESC]My retro tech project
Hello cyber-citizens! today I wanna talk about my new tech project. So recently I bought a raspberry pi zero w and I already own a pi 5 and use Linux in general so I didn't have any ideas of what to do with the pi zero that my pi 5 can't do. Then I thought of this new project.
A retro 90s mini pc running the original Linux 0.1 kernel through debian minimal stripped down completely only using debian to run a emulator for the Intel chip Linus used so I can load the x86 architecture in the first place. If I could I would just boot the original kernel directly off the pi zero w.
List of materials:
- Cardboard housing for my phone used as a monitor with tailscale then ssh on it and cool-retro-term for the CRT look
- 3d printed beige case for the rpi zero w to make it look like a classic retro PC.
- My cardputer adv with all the stickers taken off and my own put on with a keyboard Firmware to type on the rpi zero w. Without the m5stickers it actually does look like a tiny retro keyboard.
Alright that's it let me know what you think! I will post pictures in a few days to a week or 2 once I'm done with it
