Thoughts

Sometimes I wake up and can’t care less about my outward appearance and just want something practical so I end up in my usual T-shirt and jeans. Other days I wake up and am so appalled by the unimaginative and nature of my wardrobe that I want to go and wear a dress, do makeup and get piecings.

However society deems me unfit to wear anything feminine and my brain is more concerned if I can survive the apocalypse or a blue collar construction site. I loved working in construction, it was extremely fun to use power tools that could kill me, that job was amazing.

These two worlds of, “wear something practical that screams “you got your entire wardrobe for the year from Marks in one go. Wear something that people don’t question a guy wearing”” and “Be fancy! Wear the clothes you want, bend gender norms!” Are really clashing for me.
