Due to unforeseen VM weirdness I have been struggling to properly get Astral OS running on my Proxmox server. However I am now resuming OS development since I’ve gotten my server mostly set up. The next steps are to stabilize the river compositor and keep it from crashing. After that I will be implementing and configuring Zellij and ensuring it suits my needs. I am also wondering if I should go with a full text based browser and accept the limitations of it or go with a heavily modified Firefox that still looks like a TUI and uses keyboard navigation. I’m just a little worried about breaking the philosophy of a TUI operating system if I use Firefox but it could be limiting to not have the features of a modern browser. I might end up including both or just let the user install what they want as I am trying to minimize bloat.
