I like Libby/Overdrive a lot. However, since I only get a little while to read every day it can take me a while to get through a book, so sometimes I’m unable to finish before it’s due back after x amount of renewals.

Overall I think that artificial limits on ebooks are silly, but understand that it is a part of the current system. What I don’t understand is why it would apply to works in the public domain. I’ve been making my way through Dracula, but then someone else apparently wanted to check it out so I wasn’t able to renew it. It’s easy enough to download it from Project Gutenberg and transfer it to the Kobo, but really seems unnecessary and rather silly to limit the number of public domain works. Do the libraries really have to purchase x amount of public domain ebooks?
