Privacy vs the right to safety

All members of a given society are afforded certain privileges and are bound to the laws of the contract into which they enter with that society.

All members of a functioning society are afforded the right to feel secure and safe.

All members of a functioning society are afforded the right to privacy.

A criminal believed to be dangerous is stripped of their right to privacy, especially in their home, so that devices which they bear that may cause harm can be found.

A person of no suspicion, who has done no harm to society, should never be stripped of their right to privacy.

Recent measures by lawmakers are attempting to strip people of their right to privacy, on the principle that the right to safety is more important. However, this has the effect of stripping all people, innocent and guilty alike, of their right to privacy.
