Destockd is a to make tens of thousands of clips from government archives more easily and freely accessible to people. Lots of old black-and-white footage.

The motivation behind it was that stock footage companies actually make quite a buck off of selling access to footage that is in fact freely available if you know where to look.

Each time the website refreshes, you get the thumbnails for a few dozen clips, and there is a search function to find more topical ones.
