Having to explain to an adult that a microphone will pick up less audio the further it is from the source of the sound.

Am I being a dick here? I know not everyone has a background in live music but I thought "you should speak into the mic when you use it" was day one shit. Obviously, my bad if that isn't obvious, but at the same time, you knew this job involved this tech when you took it...
