Lately, I've been listening to Sleep token, Bring me the horizon, Spiritbox, Bad Omens, Loathe. Which really made me realize how much my current music taste was defined by 5 year old me

I remember hearing Linkin Park for the first time in the 2007 Transformers movie. An up until I was 10 years old I was almost exclusively listening to just LP, having Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora, Collision Course, Minutes to Midnight, A thousand suns (underrated gem im willing to die on thus hill), and Living Things on repeat. It wasnt until I was in my teens when i started getting into other genres such as grunge, and other gateway metal stuff, pop rock, pop punk. Eventually I always found myself going back to Nu-Metal and their almost modern day evolutions such as Sleep Token's Prog-ish style, and metalcore

And I absolutely love their new From Zero album after everything that happened to Chester, never thought I'd ever hear a new LP album. Emily is fuckin awesome

Just a little retrospection I had, right now while relistening to BMTH's Post human Nex Gen album. 5 year old me was awesome
