[ESC]07.09.2026 - Front-end job market is cooked
I made a post 20 days ago about being laid off. Every single day after that I've been sending my resume like crazy, refining it to cover as much as possible of what is required for specific roles I was applying to.
No phone calls so far.
I knew it was bad but holy shit, I was not prepared for that.
There are plenty of offers, new seems to appear almost every day, and I'm fully capable to fit those roles but.. front-end devs are laid off on a daily basis, and every single offer is flooded with resumes of highly qualified people who just got under the axe at their current jobs.
I think it's not going to get better. Wondering if I should change my career path (again) to to something that is valuable in the current world.
I'm grateful for my wife, we'll be fine together, but I'm angry at life at the moment. It cost me so much time and stress to go all in into web dev mere 7 years ago just for it to be forced to start again.
