Fidonet anyone?

I was wondering... since gopherspace is coming back, qotd is getting more attention again, people are reinventing web 1.0 including myspace,geocities,etc... and for each and everything, people even seem to give lots of love to terminal user interfaces what its called nowadays. Back in the days there wasn't graphical user interfaces, so we didn't need any distinctive word for it and just called it terminal or console.

Oh... got distracted... so what I was wondering: Doesn't anyone want to work on a new Fidonet TUI? ;-) I mean... configuring binkd, mailer, tosser, reader, packer, unpacker, etc... is still a hassle on modern systems and most of the original CrossPoint forks don't really work that well. WinPoint, created by Tim Schattkowsky, is currently the best working alternative, but it's so Windows XP...

I would really like to see Fidonet getting some boost and more love again...
