I've been thinking a lot on the subject of owning ones own data.
I was playing through Replaced and the thought hit me that I have all these different sites I use to track things. Letterbox, Goodreads, etc etc but any of those could go under or decide they just don't want me to have an account anymore!
Over the last few weeks I've built out a "media log" on my personal site as the catch all for everything. Getting back to owning my data.
First...
A friend randomly sent me a dual mini esp32 setup. (I'm a lucky son of a bitch)
New hyper fixation incoming...
Made a hard call today. It wasn't easy and it wasn't done lightly. Still processing things related to it.
How does everyone else balance personal boundaries and/while being a friend to others in your lives?
Genuinely interested in peoples perspectives.
I desperately need vim controls support for Discord/Slack. I hate having to move my hand to the arrow keys. They are so far away. Life is so hard cyberspace...
Got a Swiftpoint Z3 this past week. Now I can configure my mouse to do a bunch of custom shit alongside my QMK mechanical keyboard. Already been messing around with the tilt sensors and I feel like goddamn Tony Stark being able to move a bunch of windows around with just flicking my wrist!
So many buttons. So many many buttons
Picked up Rigged recently. It's a solo journaling TTRPG sort of deal that you play daily. A big part of it is essentially a writing exercise based on the randomization of things that happened in your short play sesh.
Thinking Cyberspace might be where I end up recording this little cyberpunk themed TTRPG daily entries, so I haven't lost my mind (entirely) if you start seeing posts about attempts at hacking the "black box registry".
For anyone else...
Super random question, not necessarily gonna follow through with it but...
Are there any artists here in Cyberspace that are taking commissions where you could draw a PFP of yours truly rocking the neuromancer faceplate because I'm a big ol nerd who is bored of his regular work Slack picture?
Like I said, might not happen at all but curious if there are talented artists here. I'd rather support an artist than an AI Gen service :)...
Finally got to step away from work this weekend and boot up REPLACED. Only a few chapters in but I'm feeling a mighty itch to build my first cyberdeck based on the wingman 2 in the game.
Physical buttons and a scroll wheel?! Can't beat that.
Good god, it's real. The first Neuromancer teaser dropped after the "in production" teaser.
Please be good. Don't fuck this up Apple
I'm so ready to be hurt again. Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 trailer dropped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV7451mcw-E
I'm gonna be mainlining this trailer music into my earholes all day
Into the desert I wander.
The community of talented and creative artists out in Slab City & East Jesus are fucking awesome.

How to get out of bed
I'll never tire of Mike Monterio's writing. Worth a read if you're struggling with shit, any shit.
Over the last few weeks I’ve felt the walls closing in a little bit. Which isn’t good. But it’s also completely understandable because if I were to ask you about the worst thing that happened this week, I’d be liable to get 30 different answers and none of them would be wrong. But like the man said, “you’re allowed to think about the worst...
Anyone in cyberspace a die hard fan of any calendar apps? Sell me on it.
I default to just Google Calendar but curious if anything is worth checking out out there
Man, I'm so upset hearing about Oliver Tree passing. Dude wrote some great music
I hate any form of public speaking & I've gotta give a talk/presentation today.
Wish me luck, the internal anxiety/screaming is loud today.
Solace chatter deal in vain
No core no poets to feinds the rain
Of hopeless, dreaming, time disturbed
Friends and family, needling curb
Away in your imagined box
The chains on chains and locks on locks
I love amazingly written lyrics
Finished Pragmata tonight. Emotional ending, great game. Recommend.
