Alternative to microscoff teams

Hello cyberspace! So im currently have lots of school work to do but procrastination is currently winning. BUTTTTTT its technically school related so im going to count this as "working on school work".

SO my class has a group project in a week which will have 8 members and we currently all communicate on outlook. Which as alot of people feel, INCLUDING myself is hot garbage.
And we want something we can screen share and casually text message each other on. The proposed solution is microsoft teams, however everybody in the group is open to ideas for alternatives.
I personally dont want to bother making a microsoft or google account to use teams, and was wondering if any of you fellow bipeds have any suggestions!
