I quit my spotify subscription in January and went back to the way i listened music in 2002. Get MP3 files from the CDs i already own, buy music from artists via bandcamp or buy the music directly at the concerts. Then load the MP3 files onto my phone and play it with VLC player.

Benefits:

• Works offline
• Artist get a lot more support.
• I started to listen to whole albums again instead of just single songs.
• Less money for greedy cooperation.
• I own my music and i am not bound to a service.
