[ESC]A little conversation between a guest and a barista. (Translation Included)
Barista: Ουλλα καλα? (All good?)
Guest: Εννεν καλο να εσσιεις ουλλα τα πραματα καλα, ρε φιλε. (It's not good to have everything good, friend.)
Guest: Εν καλον να 'χουμε τζαι τα προβλήματα μας. (It's good to have our problems too.)
I agree. Problems aren't always bad! They're lessons. things we can learn from. What works, what not to repeat, what's good and what's bad. I've been telling people the same thing and living by the same philosophy for years.
Living in London, England, and working at a restaurant full of rich guests, it's the rich ones that are never grateful. You always see them complaining about work, about people, noise, cars, clothes, houses, etc. However Being a villager from the middle east, and being homeless for a while, taught me and many other people of less wealth, to be thankful for what you have. Food, Water, Friends, A bed to sleep on, Technology, etc. But I've also seen people break from too much sadness. Never grateful for there's nothing to be grateful about. I've been in that scenario too.
That's where I learned that a happy and content life is a life that's balanced. 50/50. You want your life to be comfortable enough where you're swarmed with challenges during the day, and engaging them your way, learning from your mistakes, not being afraid to ask for help but also not being afraid to handle things on your own. These challenges are what allow us as living beings to grow and become smarter. While at night, you can spend time with your friends, have a drink or two, look at nature, walk through the woods, play with your pet dog, spend time with family, or simply just rest.
That's objectively the perfect life.
